Cloud Terminals
A cloud terminal is a full MetaTrader 5 running on our servers 24 hours a day, with the EA already installed. Your signals are executed even when your own computer is off. Included in Advanced and Professional (also during the free trial).

Pick your broker
Search the broker list (60+ brokers). Not in the list? Click Can't find your broker? Request it - we add it for you.

Fill in your account

| Master Password | Your MT5 trading password (not the investor / read-only one - that cannot trade). It is encrypted with AES-256 and only used to log your terminal in. |
| Symbol suffix | The ending your broker adds to every symbol name - e.g. EURUSDm -> m, EURUSDc -> c, EURUSD.a -> .a. Find it in MT5 (phone or PC) under Market Watch: whatever comes after EURUSD. Leave it empty if your symbols have no ending. The EA is attached to EURUSD + your suffix, and your symbol names (XAUUSD -> XAUUSDm ...) are worked out from it. With a wrong suffix the EA cannot start - the card then lets you correct it. |

Wait about a minute
The card goes Creating → Connecting → Connected. When it is ready a window shows the symbol mappings it found - check them and click Got it, I am ready!
Reading the cloud terminal card
Cloud terminal cards

| Name + colour dot | Your own label, e.g. "Gold Copy Live". Without a name the broker is the title and you see + Add name. |
| HEDGING / NETTING | Hedging accounts can hold a buy and a sell together; netting accounts keep one position per symbol (matters for copy trading). |
| LIVE / DEMO | Real money or practice money. |
| Status | Creating / Starting / Connecting while it boots, Connected when ready, Sleeping when you paused it, Offline or Error when something is wrong (the message under it says why). |
| Balance / Equity | Equity = balance + the profit or loss of open trades. Cent accounts show USC with the dollar value (≈ $) below. |
| Positions | How many trades are open now. |
| Health | A 0-100 score of how well the terminal is running. 100 = all good. |
| Bottom line | Server region (e.g. US), uptime (↑2w = running for 2 weeks) and the last heartbeat (♥ Just now). Amber means no heartbeat for a while. |
The buttons

| Restart (circle arrow) | MT5 is closed and opened again on your saved chart, about 10-20 seconds. A signal that arrives during a restart waits and is executed when the EA is back (entries if within 30 seconds, closes within 55 seconds). |
| Sleep (moon) / Wake (pulse) | Sleep pauses the terminal until you wake it. While it sleeps NO signals are executed. Sleep only works when NO position is open - otherwise you see "Cannot sleep with open positions. Close all positions first." (a sleeping terminal could not close them). Wake starts MT5 again on your saved chart. |
| Reconnect | Shown only when the terminal is Offline. It asks our server to log MT5 in to your broker again. Try it first, before deleting anything. |
| Missed Signals | Shown only when the terminal is Offline: the signals that arrived while it was down. They were NOT executed - open them by hand if you still want them. |

Manage an open trade

Click Trades, then Manage on a position or pending order (needs EA v2.31 - PC users update the EA file). It works on every trade in the list: one opened by a TradingView alert, by hand, or copied from a leader.

| Stop loss | Set, move or remove it - as a price or in pips from the entry. Your broker holds it, so it works even when the terminal is offline. |
| Take profit | None, one target, or in parts: TP1 - TP3, each closing a share (%) of what is still open. The shares add up to 100 %; the last target is also sent to your broker. |
| Breakeven | Once the trade is a number of pips in profit, the stop loss moves to the entry plus an offset. |
| Trailing stop | The stop loss follows the price at a fixed distance, only ever in your favour - optionally only after the trade is some pips in profit. |
| Close part / Close | Close some lots or the whole trade at the market price now. |
- •Each change shows in the Signal Log (action "SL / TP", mode "website") and on the trade as "Sending to the terminal..." until the EA confirms it - or with the reason when the broker refuses it.
- •TP levels, breakeven and trailing are run by the EA. They are saved on the terminal and survive a restart; the stop loss and the final take profit always sit at the broker.
- •A TradingView close still closes the trade as usual (several trades on one symbol: the oldest first). The rest keeps its protection, and each TP share is taken of what is still open.
- •A new stop loss / take profit from TradingView replaces the one you set here (the last instruction wins).
- •Pending orders: stop loss and take profit go on the order at once; TP levels, breakeven and trailing start when it fills.
- •If you lead a copy group: your stop loss / take profit changes (also a drag in MT5) and your breakeven / trailing reach the copies of your followers; your partial and full closes reach them as before. A follower who changes a copy here stops following your stop loss / take profit changes for that copy.
Place a new order

Trades → New order (EA v2.33+) places a trade from the website - no MT5 window needed. Pick the symbol from your terminal's Market Watch, Buy or Sell (live bid / ask), Market, Limit or Stop, and the size in lots or by risk.

| Copy to (leaders) | Choose one of your copy groups (its magic number), your manual group, or "My own trade - not copied". There is no default - you always choose. |
- •Live prices come from your own terminal only while the window is open - it costs nothing when it is closed.
- •The kill switch blocks new orders; a free trial that has ended (close-only) too.
- •Every order shows in the Signal Log with mode "website". Your terminal settings (max trades, trading hours, news filter ...) still apply.
Renaming
Click + Add name (or the pencil next to the name), type up to 32 characters, pick a colour and press Enter. The name is used on the card and in the kill-switch and delete questions, so you never stop the wrong account.
When the EA stops by itself
- •The EA writes a heartbeat every 30 seconds. If it stops for 3 minutes, TradeHookX restarts it automatically on your saved chart (at most once every 15 minutes).
- •After 3 failed tries we stop and show: "EA could not be revived after 3 attempts - check your broker login and password". This usually means the password changed or the demo account expired.
- •Signals that came while it was down are listed under Missed Signals (button on an Offline card) - they were not executed.
- •There is no automatic sleep: a terminal keeps running until you put it to sleep yourself.
Deleting a cloud terminal
- •You are asked "Delete <name> (#account)? The cloud terminal is destroyed." and warned if positions are still open (they stay open at your broker).
- •If the terminal leads or follows a copy group, you see which groups. Either reassign the group to another terminal first (My Groups → Edit), or Force Delete.
- •Deleting removes the terminal and its saved chart symbol. Adding it again later uses what you type in the window.
Trades you make by hand
Your cloud terminal watches the whole MT5 account, not only the trades TradeHookX opens. So a trade you click yourself - in the cloud MT5, or in the MT5 app on your PC or phone logged in to the same account - is seen within about a second.

If the terminal was offline when a trade closed, the close is picked up from your broker history once it is back.
Good to know
- •Your plan decides how many terminals you can have. More terminals = a lower price per terminal (see Billing & Plans).
- •A license is either local or cloud. To move a local terminal to the cloud, delete the local one first.
- •If your subscription ends, cloud terminals are switched off after the grace period. Renew to bring them back.
- •Do not attach the EA on your own PC with the license of a cloud terminal - trade there by hand instead.
Password safety
Your MT5 password is only used to log your terminal in. Never post it anywhere else. If you change it at your broker, delete and re-add the terminal with the new one.
